Currents is the new enterprise communication tool known previously as Google+. Currents is designed to engage and enable meaningful discussions, and generate feedback and ideas from users.

Description

  • Currents makes it easy to have meaningful discussions among faculty and students, or employees to exchange ideas and gather feedback and input without using email and filling up people’s inboxes
  • Features a streamlined experience for composing content where users can easily tag their posts and attach relevant attachments or images.
  • Once a user posts, others can comment, give feedback, and ask questions all in the same place.
  • Provides leaders a way to engage with their employees more directly, allowing them to take the pulse of their organization and understand what’s important.
  • Provides an easy way for faculty to engage with students or employees to engage with their peers or leadership.
  • Individual users can track analytics for their posts.
  • Provides leaders a way to engage with their employees more directly, allowing them to take the pulse of their organization and understand what’s important.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • In July 2020, Currents  became the replacement for Google+.
  • Currents is only available for Google Workspace Suite accounts through work or school and not available for consumer accounts  (typically ending in @gmail.com). See: Consumer Google+ Shutdown.
